PRESIDENTIAL CALL OF SEPTEMBER 7: THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT ANNOUNCES THE FINAL LIST OF CANDIDATES.

The Constitutional Court announced on Wednesday the final list of candidates for the presidential election on September 7, including in alphabetical order of last names (in Arabic) MM. AOUCHICHE Youcef for the Front of Socialist Forces (FFS), TEBBOUNE Abdelmadjid as an independent candidate and Hassani Cherif ABDELAALI for the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP).
“The Constitutional Court met, behind closed doors, on July 27, 28, 29 and 30 to examine the five (5) appeals registered with the registry service. It also met on July 31 to validate the final list of candidates for the presidential election,” declared the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Omar Belhadj.
He specified that after deliberations, the Constitutional Court “decided to accept four (4) appeals in form and to reject them on the merits for being unfounded and to reject one (1) appeal in form for not having not been submitted within the legal deadline.
The Constitutional Court also “decided to accept and validate the final list of candidates for the presidential election scheduled for September 7, 2024, classified in alphabetical order of last names (in Arabic) as follows: AOUCHICHE Youcef for the Front des Socialist Forces (FFS), TEBBOUNE Abdelmadjid as an independent candidate and Hassani Cherif ABDELAALI for the Society for Peace Movement (MSP).
